Privacy Policy

TickerYeti is a free stock research tool. We collect minimal data and do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for commercial purposes.

Analytics (Google Analytics 4)

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site — which pages are visited, how long sessions last, and which features get used. Google Analytics collects:

• IP address (anonymized by Google)
• Browser type and version
• Device type and operating system
• Pages visited and time spent
• General geographic location (country/region)
• User interactions (ticker searches, chart range clicks, etc.)

This data is collected via cookies set by Google. It is processed by Google under their Privacy Policy.

Feedback submissions

If you submit feedback through the site, we collect the message text, feedback type, and optionally a name and email address you provide. This is used solely to respond to and track feedback. It is stored as a GitHub Issue in our project repository.

Local storage

We store two items in your browser's local storage: your dark mode preference and your recent ticker search history. This data never leaves your device.

Google Analytics sets cookies to distinguish unique visitors and sessions. No other cookies are set by TickerYeti directly.

To opt out of Google Analytics:

• Install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on
• Use a browser with tracking protection enabled (Firefox, Brave)
• Use an ad blocker that blocks analytics scripts

• To understand which features are useful and how to improve the site
• To diagnose errors and performance issues
• To respond to feedback you voluntarily submit

We do not sell data, run advertising, or use data for any purpose beyond operating and improving TickerYeti.

TickerYeti uses the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

• Google Analytics — Google Privacy Policy
• Amazon Web Services — Hosts the site and API infrastructure
• GitHub — Stores feedback submissions as issues

Depending on where you are located, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. Since we collect very little personally identifiable information, the most actionable thing is to opt out of analytics as described above.
